Eames Style Chairs Explained: Armchairs vs Standard Chairs
2026-11-08
The EventPro® Eames-style range covers two shapes: a standard chair and an Eiffel-style armchair. Both use the same moulded shell on a steel leg frame, so the choice comes down to seating width and the look you want at the table.
Standard Eames-style chair
The standard chair is the narrower of the two, which matters when you are fitting rows of seating into a limited footprint, conference seating, banqueting rounds, or anywhere chair count per metre of table matters. It comes in black, white, blue, red, orange, green, and grey, so colour schemes can be matched room by room rather than venue-wide.
Eiffel-style armchair
The armchair version adds integrated arms to the same shell and leg design. Arms make a chair read as slightly more considered, boardroom tables, head-table seating at weddings, panel discussions, anywhere a handful of seats should look a step up from the rest of the room. It comes in black, white, blue, red, and grey.
Mixing the two
A common layout pairs armchairs at a head table or VIP row with standard chairs for the rest of the room, same shell, same leg finish, so the set still reads as one range rather than two different chairs pushed together.
Stacking and storage
Both versions stack, so storage between bookings is straightforward, check our care guide for general advice on handling shell chairs without scuffing the finish.
