Ex-hire stock from Expo Hire, inspected and sold at a discount. Quantities and specific items change regularly.
What is used stock?
Expo Direct shares premises and ownership with Expo Hire, a commercial furniture hire company. As Expo Hire rotates its stock — replacing older pieces with new — the outgoing furniture goes on sale here rather than going to auction or scrap. Every item comes from commercial hire use, not consumer storage. Each piece has been cleaned, inspected, and either listed with a condition note or removed from sale if it fails inspection.
Condition grading
Used items are not graded on a uniform scale. Each product listing includes a written condition note describing the specific state of that item: any scuffs, frame marks, fading, or functional wear. Read the listing before ordering. If you want photos of a specific batch before committing, call or email us.
Pricing
Used stock is priced at a significant discount to the equivalent new item. The exact price is shown on each listing. There are no separate grading tiers that affect price — the listing price reflects the actual condition described in the notes.
Warranty
Used items carry a 90-day warranty against structural defects. This is shorter than the 1-year warranty on new stock, reflecting the prior commercial use. Cosmetic wear noted in the listing description is not covered.
What types of stock are typically available
Available items change as Expo Hire rotates its fleet. Types of furniture that commonly come through:
- EventPro® Folding Chairs — black and white, sold individually or in batches
- EventPro® Tolix Style Steel Chairs — various colours depending on which hire stock is retiring
- Banqueting tables — 4ft and 6ft rectangular, folding leg
- EventPro® Full Steel Tables — fixed-height, suitable for indoor and outdoor use

Stock availability
Used listings sell quickly and are not restocked on a fixed schedule. If an item you wanted has gone, contact us — we may have more coming through in the next batch or can advise on what is expected.
