Business-to-Business (B2B) Sales
Expo Direct (part of Expo Hire UK Limited) is a dedicated business-to-business supplier of event furniture and catering equipment. All sales are made exclusively to trade customers for use in their business operations and are therefore not subject to the Consumer Rights Act 2015. By proceeding with an order on this website, you confirm that you are purchasing goods solely for business purposes.
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using the expodirect.co.uk website and by placing an order for goods, you signify your full agreement to be legally bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, we kindly ask that you refrain from using this website or placing orders.
Orders and Pricing
Our commitment is to provide clear information regarding your purchase. Please note the following terms related to orders and pricing:
- All prices displayed on the website are quoted in British Pounds (£) and are exclusive of Value Added Tax (VAT), unless explicitly stated otherwise.
- VAT at the prevailing UK rate will be calculated and added to the total cost of all orders during the checkout process.
- While we strive for accuracy, prices are subject to change without prior notice. However, any orders already placed and confirmed will honour the price agreed upon at the time of the order.
- We reserve the right to accept or refuse any order at our sole discretion. In the event an order is refused, any payment made will be fully refunded.
- Upon successful receipt of payment, your order will be formally confirmed via email, detailing the items purchased and next steps.
- Where applicable, volume discounts are automatically applied to your order based on the quantities of items selected.
Payment
To ensure a smooth and secure transaction process, please review our payment terms:
- Full payment is required at the time of placing your order. All transactions are processed securely through our trusted payment gateway, Stripe.
- We accept all major credit and debit cards for your convenience.
- Goods will only be released for collection or arranged for delivery once full payment has been successfully received and cleared.
- All payment processing, including the handling of your card details, is managed securely by Stripe, adhering to the highest industry standards.
Collection & Delivery
We offer flexible options for receiving your order. Please note the following regarding collection and delivery:
- The standard option for all orders is collection directly from our Birmingham warehouse, located at: 30 Chester Street, Aston, Birmingham, B6 4BE.
- Warehouse collection hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Please ensure you make an appointment in advance to facilitate a smooth collection.
- Orders are typically prepared and ready for collection within 2–3 working days from the confirmation of your payment.
- Delivery services can be arranged for an additional cost. Please contact us immediately after placing your order (or before, for a preliminary estimate) for a tailored delivery quote.
- Delivery charges are calculated based on various factors including distance, item size and weight, specific access requirements at the delivery location, and desired timing.
- The risk of loss or damage to the goods passes from Expo Direct to the buyer immediately upon successful collection or delivery of the items.
Cancellations & Returns
Our cancellation policy for orders and returns for new items is outlined below, reflecting our commitment to fairness for both parties:
Order Cancellations (Before Collection/Delivery)
If you need to cancel an order before it has been collected or delivered, the following cancellation terms apply based on the notice period given:
- More than 28 days notice before your scheduled collection or delivery date: 75% refund of the order value.
- 14–28 days notice before your scheduled collection or delivery date: 50% refund of the order value.
- Less than 14 days notice before your scheduled collection or delivery date: No refund will be issued.
Returns of New Items (After Collection/Delivery)
Once an order has been collected or delivered, it cannot be cancelled or refunded under the above order cancellation terms. However, new items may be eligible for return under specific conditions:
- New items may be returned within 14 calendar days of collection or delivery.
- Returned items must be unused, in their original packaging, and in a resalable condition.
- All returns of new items are subject to a 30% restocking fee, deducted from the refund amount.

Product Condition & Warranty
We ensure transparency regarding the condition of our products and the warranty provisions:
- Items sold as “New” are covered by a warranty against manufacturing defects for a period of 12 months from the date of delivery or collection.
- Items explicitly sold as “Used” or “Refurbished” are sold on an “as-is” and “as-seen” basis, with no warranty implied or provided unless otherwise stated in writing.
- Any faulty or damaged items must be reported to us in writing within 2 working days of their collection or delivery.
- Upon verification of a manufacturing defect or damage, we will, at our discretion, either replace the faulty item (subject to availability) or provide a full refund for the item's purchase price.
- We accept no liability for defects or damage arising from misuse, negligence, improper installation, normal wear and tear, or failure to follow supplied product instructions.
Limitation of Liability
Please read this section carefully, as it defines the limits of our liability:
- Our total liability to you in respect of any losses arising under or in connection with these terms, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, shall in no circumstances exceed the purchase price of the specific goods in question.
- We accept no liability for any indirect or consequential losses, including but not limited to loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, or loss of anticipated savings, arising out of or in connection with the purchase of goods from Expo Direct.
- Nothing in these terms and conditions seeks to exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by applicable law.
- These terms do not affect your statutory rights as a business buyer under the Sale of Goods Act 1979 where applicable.

Your privacy is important to us. We process all personal data provided by you strictly in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and our comprehensive Privacy Policy. By placing an order with Expo Direct, you consent to us processing your information solely for the purposes of fulfilling your order and providing related services.

- You are granted permission to browse and use our website for legitimate personal or business purposes, including viewing products and placing orders.
