Colour Selection Guide
Choosing between colours across our popular chair ranges: Eames style, Eiffel armchair, Tolix steel and Chiavari, with expert advice on mixing, brand matching, and ordering samples before you commit.
Colour profoundly impacts how a room photographs, how a venue feels at capacity, and whether your furniture blends seamlessly or becomes a striking visual feature. This comprehensive guide covers the available colours across each of our popular chair families, the environments they best suit, and practical steps to help you make a confident decision before ordering at volume.
EventPro® Eames Style Chair (7 colours)
Available in seven vibrant colours – black, blue, green, grey, orange, red, and white – these Eames style chairs feature a moulded polypropylene shell on a chrome steel base. This extensive range makes them our most versatile option for any colour-specific event brief.
| Colour | Best suited to | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Black | Corporate, hospitality, contemporary venues | Works indoors and outdoors; the safest choice when the brief demands neutrality. |
| Grey | Corporate, training, mixed-use events | Our most versatile neutral, alongside white; blends well with most room aesthetics. |
| White | Weddings, product launches, contemporary venues | The most requested single colour; pairs perfectly with both formal and modern setups. |
| Blue | Sports events, corporate brand-match | An excellent choice for clubs and organisations featuring blue in their brand identity. |
| Red | Brand-led events, vibrant hospitality | A high-impact colour; creates a strong photographic presence in neutral or white rooms. |
| Orange | Festivals, casual hospitality, branded events | Ideal for outdoor festivals and operators with prominent orange brand colours. |
| Green | Outdoor events, environmental brands | Appears natural outdoors; popular for garden events and eco-themed functions. |
Mixing colours: Using one distinct colour per table (e.g., all red on one table, all blue on another) creates a deliberate festival look, ideal for casual outdoor events. Randomly mixing colours across a single table, however, often appears unplanned. For formal settings, we recommend maintaining one colour throughout.

EventPro® Eames Eiffel Style Armchair (5 colours)
Available in black, blue, grey, red, and white, these chairs share the same polypropylene shell family as the standard Eames chair but feature integrated arms. The arms add a slightly more formal feel, making them ideal for longer seated events, hospitality settings, and venue installations where guests are seated for extended periods.
Colour guidance largely mirrors the Eames chair: black and grey are perfect for corporate and neutral contexts; white excels in contemporary or wedding settings; and red and blue are excellent for brand-matched events. Please note that orange and green are not available in the Eiffel range; if these specific colours are crucial for your event, consider using the standard Eames chair instead.

EventPro® Tolix Style Steel Chair (5 colours)
Our Tolix style chairs are available in black, blue, red, white, and yellow. Crafted from powder-coated pressed steel, they feature a more industrial, matte finish compared to the polypropylene Eames range. This distinct material and finish significantly change how the colours appear: for example, Tolix blue is a deeper, more industrial tone than Eames blue, and Tolix white has a slight eggshell quality rather than the gloss of moulded plastic.
| Colour | Best suited to |
|---|---|
| Black | Universal; works flawlessly indoors and outdoors, fitting industrial and contemporary settings alike. |
| White | Perfect for café and bistro settings, contemporary outdoor dining, and immaculate indoor venues. |
| Yellow | Ideal for outdoor and festival environments where high visibility is a desired feature. |
| Red | Suits sports clubs, brand-matched events, and vibrant bar or casual dining settings. |
| Blue | A strong choice for sports clubs and organisations that incorporate blue into their corporate colours. |

Chiavari Chairs (2 finishes)
Our elegant Chiavari chairs are available in two distinct finishes, rather than colours, both utilising the same durable resin frame construction with the distinctive spindle-back profile.
White Chiavari
The quintessential choice for formal events across the UK, including marquee weddings, hotel ballrooms, award dinners, and gala events. This bright white finish reads clearly against most tablecloth colours. Linen covers in ivory, white, or blush all harmonise beautifully with a white frame.

Chiavari Banqueting Chair – White

Limewash Chiavari
Offers a softer, ivory-toned antique effect. Perfectly suits rustic barn venues, boho weddings, and events favouring a natural or muted colour palette. The limewash finish photographs warmly and pairs exceptionally well with hessian, kraft paper, and wooden table decor.

Seat pads
Seat pads enhance comfort for multi-hour seated events and offer a refined finish detail to the chair. Black pads complement darker or contemporary room aesthetics, while ivory pads are ideal for traditional and formal settings. Both attach securely to the seat frame via tie strings.

Tables: Black vs White
Our EventPro® Full Steel Table is available in both black and white. Your colour choice significantly impacts how the table presents itself in various event settings.
Black steel table
Ideal for contemporary, industrial, and outdoor settings. Its dark surface effectively hides marks and dirt, proving more practical than white in busy outdoor or working environments. Pairs naturally with black Tolix or black Eames chairs for a cohesive look.

White steel table
A popular choice for banqueting, formal events, and clean indoor environments. Its bright surface photographs exceptionally well. Pair with white Chiavari, white Eames, or white Tolix chairs for a stunning, consistent all-white setup.

Practical Tips Before You Order
- Order a sample first. Colours appear differently under event lighting than in product photography or daylight. A single chair sample costs the same per unit as a bulk order, allowing you to accurately assess suitability firsthand. Contact us to arrange a sample.
- Test under your venue lighting. Warm tungsten light can shift white chairs towards yellow and orange, while cool LED or natural daylight reveals the true colour. What looks neutral in a warehouse showroom may read very differently under a chandeliered ballroom.
- Mixing chair families rarely works. While mixing colours within a single chair family (e.g., three Eames colours at a festival) can be successful, combining a Chiavari with an Eames chair at the same table almost never looks intentional.
- Photography brief drives colour choice. For events where the room will be photographed professionally, always consult the event photographer about how specific colours will translate under their lighting setup before making a final commitment.
