Birmingham 2022 required seating at scale across multiple venues throughout the Games. Expo Direct supplied Pyramid Patio Heaters built to a higher specification than the standard market version: an extra-thick neck for durability under repeated movement and handling, and electric ignition replacing the conventional manual system.

Both changes came directly from hire experience — the neck is the first point of failure on standard heaters, and electric ignition removes the unreliability of spark lighters in outdoor conditions.

Expo Direct served as official supplier to the Ball of Champions Gala Dinner at Wimbledon, providing ropes, posts and picket fencing for the event. Presentation standards at a formal gala require consistent, well-finished equipment — and the setup needs to work first time with no visible improvisation on the day.
