Commercial Gazebo Buying Guide
Navigate our EventPro® range with confidence. This guide compares 3x3m vs 3x6m commercial aluminium gazebos, exploring frame options, canopy sets, weight ballast, and the robust features that separate commercial models from domestic alternatives.
Buying options
Frame only
Ideal for buyers who already have a canopy or wish to commission a custom cover. Available with 50mm hexagonal aluminium legs and heavy cast metal connectors. Purchase 3x3m frames from £329.95 and 3x6m frames from £499.95.
Canopy & Wall Set
Replacement or additional canopy with matching walls. Crafted from white 600D PVC-coated polyester. The 3x3m set includes 3 walls (£199.95); the 3x6m set includes 4 walls (£299.95). Frame not included.
Full Package
The complete solution, including frame, canopy, and leg weight bases, bundled for convenience and value. This is the practical starting point for most buyers. The 3x3m package includes 4 leg weights (£579.95); the 3x6m includes 6 (£849.95).
Leg Weight Bases
Individual 15kg commercial-grade steel weight bases available at £29.95 each. Essential for securing gazebos on hard surfaces without anchoring. A 3x3m frame requires 4 weights (60kg total); a 3x6m frame requires 6 (90kg total).
Which size?
3x3m — 9sqm footprint
Standard market size, often fitting a single parking space. The frame weighs approximately 30kg and is manageable with two people.
Typical uses include:
- Single food or bar unit
- Small outdoor seating area
- Brand activation pod
3x6m — 18sqm footprint
Offers a large, continuous covered area equivalent to two 3x3m units. The frame is substantially heavier than the 3x3m, requiring three people for comfortable assembly and potentially a larger vehicle for transport.
Typical uses include:
- Outdoor bars and catering setups
- Large outdoor seating zones
- Event reception canopies
What to compare before buying
Leg profile
EventPro® frames utilise 50mm hexagonal aluminium legs for superior strength. Domestic alternatives often feature thinner 30–40mm square or round sections. The hex cross-section significantly enhances rigidity where bending stress is highest — at the corner connectors.
Weighting
Proper weighting is crucial for stability. We recommend four 15kg leg weights (60kg total) for a 3x3m gazebo, and six weights (90kg total) for a 3x6m. Always fit weights before raising the frame. Weighted frames are suitable for typical UK outdoor conditions but are not rated for severe weather.
3x3m vs 3x6m
Purchasing two 3x3m units is generally more expensive than one 3x6m, creates a visible gap at the ridge join, and requires separate weighting for each. If your event requires more than 9sqm of covered space, the 3x6m frame offers a more practical and economical continuous canopy solution.
Frame only vs package
The complete package provides the best value, costing less than purchasing the frame and canopy separately, and conveniently includes the necessary leg weights. The frame-only option is ideal for buyers looking to replace an existing frame or supplement a canopy they already own.
Canopy fabric
Our canopies are made from white 600D polyester with a durable PVC coating. This material is water-resistant, UV-stabilised, and easy to wipe clean. It performs well in light to moderate rain, though sustained heavy rain can penetrate unsealed seams. Always store canopies dry after use.
Assembly
Both gazebo sizes are designed for tool-free assembly. The 3x3m frame can be comfortably lifted by two people. Due to its greater weight and size, the 3x6m frame requires three people for safe and efficient setup. Always raise the frame before securely fitting leg weights.

Common questions
What is the difference between a commercial and domestic gazebo?
EventPro® commercial frames feature robust 50mm hexagonal aluminium legs, compared to the thinner 30–40mm square or round sections typically found on domestic units. Our connectors are heavy cast metal, not lightweight plastic. For instance, a 3x3m commercial frame weighs around 30kg, significantly more than the 8–12kg of a domestic equivalent. Canopies use durable 600D PVC-coated polyester, not lightweight nylon.
How many leg weights do I need?
We recommend four 15kg weights (60kg total) for a 3x3m gazebo and six (90kg total) for a 3x6m. Our full gazebo packages include these recommended quantities. Additional individual 15kg weights are available separately at £29.95 each if you require extra ballast for challenging conditions.
Can I link two 3x3m gazebos together?
Yes, two 3x3m units can be positioned side-by-side without issue to cover a larger area. However, it's important to note that linked frames do not share a structural connection, meaning a small gap will remain at the ridge join. For a truly continuous 18sqm canopy without a central join, the 3x6m frame is the ideal choice.
Are these gazebos waterproof?
The 600D PVC-coated canopy is highly water-resistant and performs effectively in light to moderate rain. However, sustained heavy rain can, over time, force water through unsealed seams. For prolonged wet weather events, we recommend treating seams with a suitable sealant or planning for supplementary cover at join lines to ensure maximum dryness.
