Description
EventPro® Series Full Steel Table – Black
A folding table with a full steel frame and steel top, in black powder-coated finish. No plywood, no MDF, no composite board. The entire table is metal. It folds flat for transport and storage, and the powder-coated surface wipes clean with a damp cloth or disinfectant spray.
The full-steel construction gives you a table that handles environments where plywood tables fail: outdoor events in wet weather, messy catering operations, school canteens with daily heavy cleaning, and industrial training facilities where liquids, chemicals, or mechanical parts sit on the surface.
The Steel Top
Plywood tops absorb moisture, swell at edges, delaminate over time, and require tablecloths to present a clean surface. Steel does none of this. The powder-coated steel surface resists water, food acids, cleaning chemicals, and impact damage. It does not absorb spills, harbour bacteria, or develop the soft spots that aged plywood tables exhibit.
The black powder-coat finish maintains its appearance through hundreds of use cycles. Scratches do not expose a contrasting substrate (as they would on laminated surfaces) because the steel beneath is dark. The consistent black colour across multiple tables creates uniform layouts in any room configuration.
Folding Mechanism
The legs fold flat against the underside of the table top. The collapsed profile stores on edge, stacks flat, and loads into vans without wasted space. The mechanism requires no tools and locks in the open position.
Typical Uses
Schools and colleges for examination halls and canteen dining. Conference centres for registration desks and seminar layouts. Exhibition halls for display surfaces. Outdoor events where tables face weather exposure. Catering operations where heavy cleaning happens after every service. Anywhere you need a hard-wearing, no-tablecloth-required surface.

Buying in Bulk
If you are buying 10, 20, or 50 tables, map your storage and transport plan before stock lands. Full steel tables stack with less worry about chipped timber edges or swollen boards, so site teams can hold dense rows against a wall or on table trolleys. Buyers fitting out school dining rooms, council halls, festival prep zones, and catering stores often order in matched runs so each room carries the same height, finish, and wipe down routine. A spare set of two or four tables helps when guest counts rise or one unit needs inspection after a hard knock.
You can use the black finish without linen for registration, buffet service, kit issue, or back stage prep. Buyers who need front of house dining often pair black tables with white or red EventPro® chairs, bar stools, or black folding chairs for a sharp contrast. The full steel build suits trolley storage because crews can slide stacked tables into place without worrying about crushed corners, split veneers, or damp damage between events.
Layout Planning
You should plan aisle widths before you commit to a table count. In exam halls and training rooms, teams keep at least 1.2 metres for main aisles and wider routes for fire exits, invigilators, and service staff. In buffet layouts, caterers leave enough gap for two guests to pass with plates in hand and keep hot holding gear away from exit doors. For a 100 person room, many planners set one bank for service, one bank for registration, and hold spare tables off floor until the room settles.
The all steel construction matters in practice because the load path runs through metal from top to leg. Staff feel that when they place urns, trays, boxes, or catering gear on the surface. Weight sits across the frame instead of pressing into a timber core that can soften over time. If your team wipes the top after each use and keeps stacks clear of grit, the powder coat keeps its finish for years of hard service.
Care and Service Life
Cleaning teams can use warm water, food safe cleaner, or disinfectant spray without the swelling risk that timber tops bring. Dry the hinges after wash down and check the leg locks during stock counts. Do not strike the folded stacks with cage trolleys or vehicle ramps because sharp impacts can mark any powder coat. Venues that store these tables under cover and move them on table trolleys get long life from a stock line that faces heavy use in schools, NHS sites, universities, marquees, and public halls.
