Free Shipping: Which Products Qualify and Why

Just over half our range ships free by courier anywhere on UK mainland. Here is which products qualify and why some do not.

What typically qualifies

Lighter, stackable items that fit standard courier parcel or pallet-lite shipping ship free, think folding chair packs, steel-framed chairs, and similar compact lines. These make up the bulk of our free shipping category.

What usually does not

Larger or heavier items, full-size banqueting tables, chiavari chairs ordered individually, and steel-framed tables generally fall outside free shipping. These need palletised freight delivery rather than standard courier, which carries a cost we pass through rather than build into the product price.

Why the split exists

Courier networks price by parcel weight and size band. Items that fit within a standard parcel or small-pallet band cost us little extra to ship, so we absorb it and pass the saving on. Bulkier items need dedicated pallet space on a lorry, a real cost that does not disappear if we call it "free" and build it into the sticker price instead.

Checking before you order

Every product page states whether it qualifies for free shipping, in the pricing and delivery section, check this before adding a large order to basket if delivery cost is part of your budgeting.

Mixed baskets

If your basket mixes free-shipping and chargeable items, carriage is calculated on the chargeable items only, you are not charged delivery twice or lose the free shipping benefit on qualifying products.
