Patio Heaters for Outdoor Events: Mushroom vs Pyramid

2026-11-08

Both EventPro® patio heaters are rated at 13kW, so output is not the deciding factor between them, shape and heat spread are.

Mushroom heater

The mushroom shape throws heat outward and down in a wide circle from a single head, suited to open seating areas, outdoor dining under a gazebo, or anywhere guests are seated around the heater rather than passing by it. One mushroom heater comfortably covers a cluster of tables within its radius.

Pyramid heater

The pyramid shape has a narrower, more directional heat pattern and a slimmer footprint, which suits positioning along walkways, bar queues, or the edges of a marquee where floor space is tighter and a wide circular spread would be wasted on empty space either side.

How many you need

As a working guide, one heater per four to six seated guests in an open area keeps a comfortable temperature through a British evening, tighten that up to one per three to four guests once the weather turns properly cold or the space is open-sided.

Pairing with a gazebo

Patio heaters are ordered alongside our gazebo range more than any other product, see our outdoor events guide for how gazebo size and heater count scale together for larger bookings.

Both heaters are available in EventPro® Series.
